Services. Stuber & Associates is a provider of business management and consulting services to life sciences, technology, and other enterprises in the U.S. and abroad. The firm provides its services to client companies at all levels of development, including early-stage and start-up enterprises as well as including mature companies desiring to achieve enhanced growth or to pursue new opportunities. The firm’s services include business development and technology commercialization consulting and assistance, temporary assignments of senior management personnel, and classic business consulting services.
Principal. The firm’s principal, James Stuber, has over twenty years of experience in the practice of business and international law and in key executive positions in technology development companies in the medical device, health & fitness, and energy sectors. Mr. Stuber previously spent ten years in Washington, D.C., where he was legislative director for a senior member of the House Energy & Commerce Committee and an associate attorney at the law firm of Hogan & Hartson, practicing in the fields of administrative and legislative law. Mr. Stuber has played a key role in the development and commercialization of new technologies, including development of patent portfolios and intellectual property strategies; negotiation of mergers and strategic partnerships with key industry players in the U.S. and abroad; acquisition of funding; formulation and implementation of business plans; negotiations with foreign governments; and development and implementation of regulatory approval strategies. Mr. Stuber holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree from Columbia University, and a law degree from Georgetown University.

Medical Innovations Holding Co., Inc. MIHC, formerly CryoFlex, Inc., developed the “CryoFlex” line of surgical instruments for use in cryosurgery, the ablation of tissue by application of very cold temperatures. The company also developed imaging systems using measurements of electrical impedance in tissue to provide real-time information on the extent of the “kill zone” achieved during cryosurgery. MIHC has sold these assets to Critical Care Innovations, Inc., an affiliate of Kol Bio-medical Instruments, Inc., and now is a shareholder in CCI. [See Kolbio.com.] MIHC also holds shares of the stock of Supertron, Inc., developers of high-resolution, high-speed MRI coils using very cold temperatures to reduce signal noise. [See Supertron.com.] Mr. Stuber serves as CEO of MIHC.
SportBrain, Inc. SportBrain develops and markets internet-enabled pedometers and other fitness devices capable of storing personal fitness data and uploading it to an Internet-based, interactive “back end” providing the user with access to personal data and interaction with a community of users. [See SportBrain.com.] Mr. Stuber consults to the company’s founder on business strategy and serves as the firm’s Chief Legal Officer.
Riverside Venture Partners, LLC. RVP is a family office private equity fund active in a variety of portfolio investments. The firm’s portfolio includes i-cruise.com, a leading operator of an Internet-based cruise travel booking engine using proprietary technology for direct access to cruise line inventory.
